Everything Passes

These past few years I have been facing difficulties in a different way - as opportunities. I'm not thinking the way I thought six years ago when everything appeared worse than in reality. Time has gone by and I realize how much I lost but also gained in difficult situations. Why did I end up losing out in some situations?

Because I didn't realize the significance of "Everything passes".

"Everything passes", when I began to think that way, I learned to overcome terrible situations by seeing them as opportunities. I stopped to think, "Why am I still worrying about this and that? Why suffer with something that hasn't been done if I trust in God? Why worry about petty things if I have God?"

Understand this... Everything passes! When we think that way, we show that we trust in God and knowing that everything passes, we will face struggles, difficulties and problems as opportunities to grow and glorify God.

Everything becomes so simple when we think... "Everything passes"...

The balloon

There was an old man who was always in the same children's leisure square selling balloons.

He was a great salesperson, of course, his family depended on him ...

Every day on arrival at the square, he would let out a few balloons to the wind, this way, attracting his little customers.

Once there was a boy sitting down on one of the benches, watching this man and the balloons.

His favorite one was the red balloon, but the man let the yellow fly, then the white, the green, but did not let go of the red ...

The boy was watching each one of them flying in the sky, but one thing bothered him, the man would not release the red balloon.

Then approached the seller and asked him:

"- Sir, if you loose the red balloon, would it rise as much as others?"

The old man smiled understandingly, broke the line that was holding the red balloon and as it rose in the air, he said:

"- It's not the color, son, is what's inside that makes it rise. "

What have you reflected on?

It’s pretty simple and easy to help a person by telling them what they need to do when we ourselves, don’t do it. It’s so true when they say if you “talk-the-talk” then you need to “walk-the-walk”.

When we want to help out someone and influence them towards God, we first have to have this FEAR of reflecting on our attitudes and our life. “Have I done what I’m telling others to do? Have I personally done what I’m about to advise this person to do? Does my life back up what I’m about to say about This Wonderful God? Are the people seeing Him in my life and through my attitudes?” When we have this zeal of analyzing our lives, we naturally lead people to God.

It’s not about being a perfectionist, but it’s the fact of being conscious of your attitude when you speak and act. This makes all the difference.

Speaking and writing beautiful things about God, having a conversation that leaves someone speechless about what they have to do or stop doing, is not the same as doing it. Realize that sooner or later these wonderful words will turn into a bad example leading others to do the same – have a fame of being alive when in reality they’re dead.

Let’s lead others to God with our actions! How do we do this? Show who you really are, an imperfectly simple person aspiring to be like the Lord Jesus.

You become a greater influence with your life than with your words.

Remember: Your relationship with God is reflected on your attitudes, not only your words – together they make a set.

"A servant that has the same characteristics as God does not only do His work, but overall, His will."
