"Life is too short to do everything we want yet long enough to do everything God wants us to do." Many have dedicated all their time on personal goals forgetting completely about the plans of God for their lives.
Perhaps at this instant, the most important approach you could have is listening to the voice of God. You may be going through something in which this is crucial step.
Be attentive!
The problem of many is not the fact of having so much work to do but, having this work distract them, take away all their time and make them push aside the most important thing at that moment: our connection and relationship with God.
"Hear, O my people, and I will speak..." (Psalm 50:7)
Oh my God : that's exactly the situation I am going through thoses days... I felt so lost about it, didn't know what to do about it. So many things to do and to think about... I knew that it was interrupting my relationship with God, but I didnt knew what to do. Until I read this article. Thank you so much because God answers me through it ! From now, I'm going to stop focus on my personal goals, and focus on God's goals.
ReplyDeleteI really like this post, its as if it was straight for me! these past 2 weeks have been hectically busy for me and it's as if I have soo much to do. Sometimes it's hard to prioritise and sometimes spending to much time thinking and ending up not doing what I am supposed to...I am going to do it this way now...if it's not God's way then it's out of the window! Thank you miss sulma!
ReplyDeletei totally agree with this sometimes we forget to listen to Gods will and wonder sometimes why things are not going smoothly He is the most important voice you should listen to.
ReplyDeleteSometimes we are overloaded and only when we STOP is when we can analyze and ask ourselves, " have I actually put aside anytime to spend with Him".

ReplyDeleteOne of my biggest weaknesses is being too busy, I overload myself with work and work and more work,and then theres so time left in my day, but I make so little time for God whether in the beginning or the end of the day, the time spent with Him is not enough.
But then not long ago I changed the way I di things, I gave God that time in the morning and prayed that His will takes over my day and life, and recently I have been finding time for everyhting after I found time for God.
At times we never realise with how much we had to do which made us miss our time with God and thats why we feel weak because we didnt at least do something to invest into our relationship because of other "important" things.
